32 qt Sterilites, gap and need to fix!?

LindsayMarie

Been here awhile
Right now I bought the 1756 series I believe. Its a 32 quart sterilite. Problem is there are gaps on the sides, the top is not very form fitting and I am sure a strong enough snake could push his/her nose up enough into it, to escape. I saw on a pic on either here or the other cornsnake site of some type of clip holding the top to the bottom. I have searched and I believe they may be called binder clips, but I need a better pic with them, what size, how many per bin, etc. If you can help in ayway that be great. I am just waiting on those to move my snakes into larger bins (some of the bigger ones anyways). The ap rack will be next to put the bins in. Thank you, Lindsay

OMG you had your hands full. So they havent escaped since using the bulldog clips? Just 2 per cage, lengthwise, one on each side, in the middle? :grin01: Thanks

Sorry, I should have been clearer, I've gone for overkill, 4 to each tub, 1 each of the 4 sides. I can't pull or prise them open with the clips on so I'm hoping the snakes are secured now! :grin01:

I have a tub that I use bungie cords on. I don't know that I would trust myself with clips to keep it secure enough to keep rogue in..

It looks like we have 2 completely different plastic tubs for our snakes diamondlil. Now I am kind of back at square one, wondering if the binder clips will work for the 1756 series and how many per tub????? Anyone have any idea?

A very good idea. I lost my '05 Anery to a bad sterolite box about 2 months ago. I'm still praying he shows up here.

please help!

Anyone use the 1756 series sterilites with the top and without a rack? Do you use binder clips or another 'tool' to keep the sides secured down? I need to get these growing babes into their bigger home. But the last thing I want is a bunch of escapees. Thanks, Lindsay
