New viv ?

Tonight my daughters BD found a new home,so now I have a nice 75 gal. for my snake :grin01:
I plan on using some natural stuff,,from the outdoors,,save a little money.
Now,,corns don't climb too much,,right ?.This tank has a bit more head room than the 30 shes in now.Maybe a few branches going up,,vines....
I picked up a larger UTH for the big tank,11"by17" pad.I will be using a second water dish and a few more hides,,simple,cheap ones

You can use things from outside, but u must sterilize them, otherwise they could have harmful parasites on them... ew! And if you have a little baby corn in that huge 75 gal tank then I would put a bush type item in there and a ton of hides. otherwise it will be intimidated and might not eat so...

And you asked about climbs??? Skittle and Casper LOVE to climb and dig so i put a lot of substrate and branches into the cage, but Artemis and Leo both just like to hang out in their hides, or in the Aspen, So it depends on the personality of your snake, but personally I would put in a lot of climbing things, just to be sure.

Shes not too small.I would say in the 28" range.I have used things from out side in the past,,going the extra clean distance,,stove,dishwasher,etc..,I would love to use a limb that still has its bark,but that could be tricky.I'll use some large rocks to fill some floor space.

I don't know where but I've heard that if you cook the wood it would be ok, by baking it... That will keep the bark on, make sure you post pics after the cage is put together it'll be a nice on!
