Question bout my thermometer

Ok i just bought a thermometer yesterday. its the one that shows the temp in 2 diff spots. and shows the min/max temps. now my question is about the probe for the second reading. i have the probe on the hot side of the tank. At the moment i have it buried under the shavings. should i have it buried, on top or should i have it in the hide on the hot side? can anyone please help with this. i am getting my corn in 19 hrs. lol tks all. sry the many questions.

you want to measure the maximum temperatures your corn can find/reach, so yes put it under the substrate right on the bottom of the tank on the hot side

thats what most advise on this site anyways, and i agree :crazy02:

The thermometer I have to keep track of the side with the UTH has a probe as well...I bury mine under the substrate..on the warm side I have a log hide for my snake..I put the probe under the substrate inside the hide..since that would be the obvious place for the snake to want to go..this way I can know what the snake is feeling in case he were to dig under the substrate...Hope this helps.. :grin01:
