Not quite sure, but I convinced my mom finally...

Corny Noob

Proud Momma
To let me keep feeders in the house, so that I didn't have to buy food the day of feeding :D

It started off with me explaining how the pinkies(and all the feeders) come in packaging so you can't even see them.
Then I mentioned how it was gonna be a pain in the butt cause the individual feeders are more expensive than buying them in the three packs. But of course what good would that do me if I was only feeding one prey item?
My mom then agreed to let me keep the three packs.
Now I'm trying to find a new job and asked that if before I quit if I could stock up on feeders while I could still get the employee discount.
She said yes :D
So now I have a 12 cup container that I got at the dollar store and wrote "SNAKE ONLY" on each side. It's going to be kept in our garage freezer.

I'm proud of myself I've managed to systematically wear my mom down from:
-No snake ever
-No snake untill all your fish die
-Snake only if you don't have dead mice in the freezer
-only one pack of mice at a time

MUAHAHAHA

heh.. soon it will be "hey mom, can you take a frozen out to defrost, I'll feed when I get home". and soon she might even hold your snake. Either way, good going. :D

Well she already plans on holding her eventually.
She wants Nagini to get used to me first.

My dad is upset that Nagini isn't bloodred and told me I should return her. I told my mom to tell my dad (cause he'd bite my head off) that if he wanted a blood so badly he should buy me one for my birthday XD

Slow but steady wins the race :grin01:

lol.. there ya go.. the wear down almost always works. start printing out pics of other snakes you want and tape them around the house. Subtle hints to give them ideas. :D

Did they even have any blood reds at your show? Don't think I've ever seen one at my local show...

They had an '05 but he was in the process of being wheeled and dealed.
My dad said it didn't matter I shouldn't have gotten Nagini then and waited for a blood.

It's okay. Get him used to Nagini and buy a blood in a couple months when '07s are readily available. ;)

I had a family very similar to yours. They kicked and screamed and were adamant about 'No Snakes'. I told them to get over it, and bought Tootse anyway.

Now, my sister holds her more than I do and has asked me to get one for her for her birthday.

And the parents, well...I compete with them for viewing room over the feeding bin, using excuses of:

Parents - "Ohhh, come on. You get to watch her all the time".

Matt - "Pleeeaassee...you guys hog all the headspace as much as I do. I think you've seen more of her eating than I have".

Haha, now the next obstacle is to get the mother to hold her. She's slowly and surely losing her abhorrence for my Snake.

P.S. Just don't tell her I'm looking at getting an MBK, Lavender Motley, and a Hogg Island before the summer's out. ;)

Hehe.

Well I now have enough fuzzies in the freezer to last her till late july :D
Today is the first feeding *crosses her fingers*
