Sleeping?

I was just wondering if anybody else's snakes sleep out in the open. I have 2 hides for Togo, one about 78-80 degrees, the other about 85-88. Yet, lately he has been sleeping up on top of his "bend-a-branch" It has been abnormally warm in my apartment since it has gotten warmer outside, which will change soon because I'll be changing apartments. Do you think 83 degrees during the hottest parts of the day is okay for the cool side? I unplug his heater when the cool side gets to be that hot. Though, I guess it's good that he is comfortable enough to be out in the open. Anyway, hope everybody is having a good day. (=

there was recently a post on how to build a rheostat for $7 that might be worth checking out then with a probe thermometer you could fine tune your set-up for less than $20 and a little time.

But your temps sound ok, as long as the snake is heathy.
