Hi there...

Mr Burns is about to go into shed his eyes have come out of being grey and his skin is all crinkly..

However he was pushing and wrigling his nose around trying to start it but it wasn't working. I just left him to it as i bathed him earlier and thought it would just happen. But when i checked on him a little while ago he was curled up in his water dish. I have never seen him like this before is it ok if they go in their water bowls?

I think i remember reading somewhere that something is wrong with them if they do that? COuld someone set me right...and tell me why he possibly was in there?

He was occasionally submerging his whole head under the water too...which was scary but he always pops back up.

Thanks

Mr Burns

This is normal for most corns, I know that mine like to take an occasional dip, it also helps them shed...

as long as he's not acting weird when he's out of the water then I wouldn't be too concerned

As long as he's not in the water too often, shouldn't be a problem (like 24/7). I've seen a python in a petstore so absolutely infested with mites it was disgusting, and it was sitting in the waterbowl absolutely submerged only sticking it's nose out once in a while to take a breath (the water looked like someone took a table spoon full of pepper and dumped it in the water). I fet so sorry for the thing, but atleast it knew how to temporarily deal with the bugs. Also, too much moisture causes blister disease, so that's the main reason it's not good.

Also, sometimes I just give my snakes a bath, some don't like it but a few of my snakes love it.
