hi guys.

i mentioned a few weeks ago in another thread that it is son to be my holls.

im going away next week on wednesday to the dominican republic for 2 weeks with my girlfriend! i cant wait!

however, my snake cant stay at home as the rest of my family are not willing to feed him for me ect. so i have arranged with one of my friends who allready has 2 snakes to look after my snake for me while im away for the two weeks. im pleased at this but i do have a couple of concrens that i wouls like someone to shed some light on for me. im basically thinking that will being in a different house affect my snake in any way? hel still be in his own tank but i dont know if a new environment outise his tank and being handled by a different person (who may use a differnt technique to what i have been using to pivk him up) will affect him or make him nervous or anything. i think hel probably be used to my smell now and may recognise me but i dont want to go away for 2 weeks and then come bak and have my snake all confused.

any help would be great.

thanks guys and girls

he should be able to easliy go 2 weeks between feedings as long as he has fresh water.

no need to relocate him, just make sure he has fresh water every 2-3 days. I posted on a previous thread about a bottle fed waterbowl.

Also, i don't think you have to worry about him forgetting your smell.

He should be fine if handled by anther owner. Just tell him to leave the handling to a minimum to reduce stress. He wont know the difference of being transported. Make sure the temps are good!

ok guys thanks a lot.

will 2 weeks of not being handled as much not make him a bit more nervy wen i come to handle him wen i come home??? or should he be fine?

its just two weeks, let him settle a few days when you get back and they take him out like normal. he might be a little skiddish but nothing that you can't fix by handling him for a few days, but you'll prolly be feeding him shortly after your return.

none the less he should be fine.

haha!

ye ok that sounds like a great idea! il put my tiket in the post for you! lol :twoguns: :sidestep:

haha! i rekon....buisness trip is your best option!

but how would you explain the tan???............SUNBEDS!

I would just ask your family to change the water. 2 weeks between feedings should be alright, just make sure your snake is fed when you get back.
