Stressed Corn

My 3 yr female amel seems to be aggitated lately and i do not know what I can do to get her to calm down. For the past couple weeks she keeps shoving her nose in the corner, or the substrate trying to find a way out of the enclosure.

I have had her in a 20 gal long for her whole life - 3 years. I take her out regularly, as well as feed, and clean, so I don't know why she is acting this way.

The only thing that has changed is the temp of the room in which she is in...to save costs, I heat HER tank instead of the entire livingroom.. BUT her home stays around 80 during day, with 77 at night and that is without any lights, or heatpads. There IS a cool side and warm side of tank..with hides in both areas..

Everything else about this snake is normal..feeding well...SHE IS A PIG.. shed..about 6 weeks ago, does not fight or hiss when i pick her up... JUST constantly trying to get out..

Any suggestions?? What could be the problem??

I posted this on the Behavior section as well.

Thanks..

It's that time of year,,,,are you sure your "she" is a "he" ??? My male is exhibiting the exact same restless behaviour.

'Tis breeding season, she's probably wants to get some but can't because she's holed up in her cage. Or she's got eggs or something. No worries, it'll pass. Just make sure she doesn't rub her nose too much, could get hurt. Oh, try giving her a humid hide, like a coolwhip container with damp towels in it (just cut a hole in the side).
