Bit of a silly question about digital scales...

Eriathiel

Short and Sweet
Hi all!
I was looking to buy a digital scale, and I've found many which I like for reasonable prices... however some measure only a certain number of grams. Is it worth it to stick with one that only measures to 500g or should I just go for the 2000 or 3000 gram. The price difference isn't that great, but I know that corns can def get larger then 500g.... I just was kind of wondering what everyone else had, and if they liked it!
Thanks so much!
:wavey:

I don't have one at the moment, but if corns can get larger than 500 grams, I definately would shell out the extra for one that can weigh higher.. especially if it's not that much more..

If the price differance is not that much I would go with the bigger one. My 4yr old male weighs 670 grams, so they def. can get bigger than 500 gr. JMO, susan

Thanks for your thoughts! I think I will go with the larger one... It just makes sense. I'm just so annoyed with all of the shipping cost these days ... the item you can find for fairly cheap but the shipping makes things horrible!

You know you can probably find them at any well stocked local kitchen supply too.. don't know if that's cheaper or more expensive than online with shipping, but it might be worth a shot.

shipping cost :shrugs: sales tax + gas to pick-up

Picking up in person, opening box, and making sure it's not broken :shrugs: saving a buck, but dealing with the hassle of shipping it back because it arrives broken.

Anyways, I have a MyWeigh 7001dx, which is probably one of the best scales for the price. I paid around $37-38 (including shipping, no tax) and only had to deal with them shipping it to the wrong address--but it finally arrived and in working order.
