Never mind, really sorry for making this.. please delete this, just was a thread about my old posts and how they were pretty rude and how I don't want people to judge me, but I guess you guys won't anyways because most of you know I have changed for the better..
 
Some things are better left unsaid.
But seeing as how you have not edited this post, why would you bother typing out how you shouldn't even have made it in the first place and please delete it?

Goodness, George. I didn't read your original post before you deleted it, I know you edited it, but you really need to chill. ;) Seriously, I can't remember a single post you've made here that has offended me or made me dislike you for ever after! I'm sure you've already made threads along these lines. I know you just want to be liked here, but constantly dragging up an apparently negative past isn't the best way to do it.

Just relax and enjoy yourself here. :cheers:
 
And you could have deleted it yourself instead of just editing it, I believe, as the OP of the thread. It may be too late for you to do it as others have already replied, but I may be mistaken. And you also have the option of asking one of the moderators to delete it for you, but you must say the magic word first.
 
hey guys, well I have PMed the admin asking him to totally clean me out of post's, I feel I have spammed a lot on here, not on purpose, but I just seem to post all the time, and It's not anything to do with post count because if it did i would not want all my post's cleared, I come to this site with the wrong attitude, I was changing my whole life, the way i dress.. my friends.. and on top of that I was in the middle of being a teenager, I was just being a little rebel, and knowing I have post's in the past that are just silly and offended some people makes me feel bad, I would like to come on here and start posting when it's best not on every thread I read, you guys mean a lot to me, and I know i keep making threads like this, but it's important to me.. I just want a good clean honest reputation here.. I'm sure that deleting all my post's is possible for the admin, maybe not to the mods, maybe it is, I don't know, but I thought a lot about this, and it's just really getting to me.
 
Hang on George. Your old posts don't bother me at all, and has anyone else told you that they think badly of you because of them?
Actually if anything the changes over time would show you in a better and better light.
 
Nope no-one has told me, I guess I knew the day would come eventually when I valued this forum so much my past would haunt me, meaning.. I love this forum, it's great.. great help.. great community.. amazing members.. and my old post's are apart of this forum.. I don't want them to be, I know there is a way they could be deleted by it would mean going through 1190+ post's picking the bad and good one's witch is basically impossible, I'm willing to loose all my posts just to loose them few bad one's so i can log on here everyday not worrying that someone will stumble across an old thread etc.. I'm not mad, or anything, I'm actually having a great day, so I wanted to just tell you guys that this has been bothering me.. It really really is.. I just want to be clean of my post's..

If someone is petty enough to go back to your old posts from the past because they dislike something you said today, who cares? :shrugs:

Let them be petty. Chances are, they're not even worth the time time they spent digging up 'dirt' on you. Why lower yourself to compensate for someone else? Psh. They're not worth it.

*Disclaimer* I'm not saying that someone actually is or would do that, but in this case it's the only reason I could think of for wanting to erase your post count.

Edit: And unless I'm mistaken, can't you only see a person's last 100 posts anyway?

I'll say it again, George - please just relax. Stop apologising for every little thing you've ever said. Stop asking people to like you. You will be liked and respected naturally after being a good and honest member here. Actions speak louder than words.

Wiping out bad posts is not the answer (and to be honest Rich is a very busy man, too.) Don't try and pretend it didn't happen. I know I for one appreciate and respect someone more when they can accept and admit to their mistakes.

You're a great person. Your passion for this place, and for your snake is obvious. Let that speak for you.

Most of the time though, it's better to leave the past in the past, and concentrate on the present to ensure a better future. :)

I really value your kindness from before, obviously I don't want to loose all my good post's but I have to think, is a good clean post count were I can make sure all my future post's are meaningfull and are actually worth being posted, or just keep my old post's, carry on being worried etc..
 
George- I don't think the moderators will go through and delete all your posts. That's something to always take into consideration when using the Internet- once you hit "send," it's gone, out there, out of your control, unable to be called back.

Plus I don't think there's a need to delete anything you've written.

Thanks Nanci, I'm pretty sure they won't delete them one by one, thats why I asked rich, I'm sure admins can go into members settings and choose to delete all the post's made by the user, Nanci, I do thank you for your kind words though, you are a great person! I'm not saying I want a fresh start or anything, things will carry on as normal to you guys, it's just to me, things will be a lot settled in my head, I won't be worried and things..

Growing up and being a teenager is sometimes difficult , but its where you learn lifes lessons. In life generally when we do something, we can't take it back. its already done, thus we learn not to do the things that we feel bad about afterwards . It is just a part of growing up. I too wish I had the ability to undo things i did in my past, but I can't , so I keep the things logged away in the back of my mind and they help me make better decisions with each passing experience.

You are a sweet spirit, and it seems like you want so desperately for people to like you. its almost as if you dont have enough self confidence to expect them too automatically because you are a good person. Try to look at the goodness in yourself that so many of us see and know that you dont have to please everyone in life, just be yourself, and make the best choices you know how to make , and learn along the way.

I would just like to put out there, while we do enjoy each others companies and friendships and business ventures have blossomed...

It is just a message board George. Sure it's a part of your life, but it is not your life, and you should never be letting something this petty, especially since you've done nothing wrong, affect your mind this badly.

Just for the record, sorry but NO, I don't do this for anyone. There are other issues beyond yourself to consider here. What about all those threads you posted on where people replied to your posts? What happens with the continuity of those threads if yours are removed? It's not fair to everyone else to do something like that.

As some people have suggested here, it is best for you just to move on and leave the past be. There is nothing here you have possibly posted that can prevent you from being a better person from the lessons you have learned from your participation here. LOTS of people have had to grow up quickly and under fire when they jumped into the internet. So just take this as a learning experience, and move on with your life.

Personally, if someone wants to wade back through your old posts for some reason, what difference does it make? It doesn't matter who you WERE, only who you ARE and are GOING to be in the future.

I do hope you understand my position on this. Trust me when I say you are not the first to make a request like this, and nor will you be the last.

Yea I do understand, and thank you for posting, I didn't think about the other people's post's, okay, well I will move on from this, it was not a massive issue, it was just something that i wanted to kinda just get rid of some nasty post's i made back then, but your all right, It don't matter about back then it's about now that matters.. well guys, I think it was just paranoia, I do tend to suffer from this a lot around school, it probably comes back down to my size, always thinking friends are talking about me and staring at me etc.. I should not have put it on you guys for my bad history here, It's time to forget my past on here, and just look towards the future, thanks again everyone,

Hey George, the past is part of who you are, don't ever be ashamed of the person you once were because that's all part of the process of learning. You learn from your past, and grow from what you learn. I think you are a good person now and even then. Like you said, you were in a stage of rebellion and in the middle of being a teenager. That's o.k. with me because I think for the most part, we all went through a stage like that. I never felt offended by anythink you wrote, and I do remember a time when you were very opinionated, and weren't afraid to say anything you felt. Don't worry. Those who are your friends here, will be your friends no matter what.
I will consider you to be my friend and hope that you will consider me to be your friend as well. :)
