THE BITE CLUB!!

Yep, my first snake bite. I was feeding everyone tonight and I got struck by my baby ball python.

My husband thinks I'm nuts. He heard me shriek and thought I was mortally wounded or something. The look on his face when he realized I was laughing and was actually HAPPY about being bitten was priceless. Then I told him to finish feeding the snakes so I could go take pictures of my bite. I think he may decide to medicate me. :grin01:

A BP hatchling with a fast and furious feeding response...not too shabby.

Here's the damage. :crazy02:

LOL...I didn't squeeze it. I just bleed easily. Makes snake bites very impressive. :)

I was really surprised that he bit me. But the bad thing about getting bitten by a BP is that it usually agitates the snake and causes it to skip a feeding. :(

The rules of Bite Club

brad_pitt_fight_club_001.jpg

The first rule of Bite Club is - you do not talk about Bite Club.
The second rule of Bite Club is - you DO NOT talk about Bite Club.
Third rule of Bite Club, someone yells OUCH!, bleeds, passes out, the bite is over.
Fourth rule, only one person to a bite.
Fifth rule, one snake at a time, fellas.
Sixth rule, no gloves, no sleeves.
Seventh rule, bites will go on as long as they have to.
And the eighth and final rule, if this is your first night at Bite Club, you have to get bitten! :crazy02:

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

WELCOME to the club!! Glad you could join us! Isn't the initiation great???

If I don't get bit at least twice on a feeding night I feel left out and unloved by our snakes! lmao

If you squeeze it it may bleed more
:roflmao: The unspoken rule of bite pics is that you squeeze the heck out of the wound prior to taking the photo. It's just the way it is. Sometimes a wound bleeds nicely of its own accord, but usually you've gotta really work it for a respectable presentation. :D

Welcome to the club, Jennifer.

Gotta love the bite club!!!

Its just a pain when you are reinitiated every once and a while when you aren't expecting it...

:grin01:

The first time Gaia bit me I laughed and then was amazed. Her lower jaw was on one side of my knuckle and her upper jaw, almost an inch away, was on the other side of my knuckle. She still gets me every now and then so I know she loves me. No broken skin, sorry.
