Shedding, curious

I've never actually witnessed a snake shedding before, but still know there's some kind of process for the shedding. What is the order of the shed? Is it:

1. Colors fade
2. Eyes go blue
3. Colors come back a bit
4. Shed
?

I'm curious because my little one did the first three... his colors faded, eyes got blue, then when I was expecting him to shed, his colors came back! (There was no skin in the tank) Is he due to shed really soon, or did something go wrong?? This would really help so I don't bother them while in the process.

Yup, that's basically what happens. They clear up for a couple days before they actually shed. This is a good time to raise the humidity a bit if you haven't already.
He'll probably shed within a day or two.
