food question...

Kilala

lemme go! I'm sleeping!
okay, cornflakes is doing great. she can down fuzzies that should have been sold as small hoppers. but after almost 3 days, the lump is no longer there, i can't even feel it when i poked her tummy (something she did not appreciate, lol) :poke: . Anyways, she poops around this time too. i don't think her actual stomach could keep down anything bigger, but i hate to see her go hungry. she actually starts to look too thin by the 5th day. should i feed her more often?

keep in mind, we're talking about a corn that is constantly in motion. she never uses her hides, unless you can count sitting on top of them. maybe its all this activity that causes her to digest so quickly? :shrugs:

oh! i forgot to mention this: right after she is fed, the lump is HUGE.
(imo) If the lump is huge and its gone after 3 days and she poops and you feed every 5 days, all seems well.
And don't poke her stomach.you wouldn't like it.

3 Days

The signs of food should be gone after 3 days. If you can still see a bulge after 3 days there is a chance that the food item is too big for her.
To put it bluntly, you then run the risk of the food rotting inside her before she can digest it properly. This leads to possible regurging, internal illnesses etc.
Just my opinion.

Ciao
