night light?

do any of you use any type of black light or something to view your snakes during the night time? or do you know if like a red light is fine? just wondering because i like watching them at night as they go all around the viv but i hate turning on the lights and disturbing them

Personally, I do not. If Roxanne is up to something interesting, then I’ll turn on an overhead light to take a look at her. I find movement rather than light tends to make them “freeze” in place.

When using either a black light or red bulb, be careful as they have a tendency to raise the temperature of the enclosure.

Regards,
Steve
