PVC for hiding

Chip

Just wondering what you experienced keepers out there use for a hide box. I've usually used ceramic or plastic herp caves, but now that I have lots of snakes that aren't on display, decided to use 3" PVC for my breeders. The problem is, I can't get them out when I need to! They crawl in and brace to the inside walls and are AGITATED  by the time I prod and pull them out! Any suggestions welcome. I may step up to a larger size PVC, it's cheap, easy to clean, and reusable forever.

Oh, there's a simple solution to that, Buy larger PVC diameters and cut the pipes in half lenthwise, so they only have half the PVC to hide in, that way, you can just lift the PVC and they'll be there for easy access.

You may have some trouble cutting it yourself, but the local hardware store might be able to help you with that.
