Sani-chip and Aspen Question

For those of you that use Sani-Chips or Aspen, I had a few questions that I wanted to ask. When feeding your snakes in this substrate, do you place the f/t mouse on some sort of tray, or plate so the snake doesn't accidentally ingest any of this material ? Or is it usually not a problem ?

Also, how often do you change out the entire bedding ?

A. Once a week .
B. Every two weeks.
C. Every month.
D Every three months.

Thanks, Stephen

I'd recommend not feeding in the cage. But if you have to for some reason, then yes, put it on some sort of tray to try to avoid ingesting the sani-chips. I spot clean my sani-chips as needed and do a complete clean out every 2-3 months.
