Which is Easier to Care for: Male or Female?

I am thinking of buying a corn in the near future. I think I will probably be ordering it from Don Soderberg and having it shipped to me. My question is this: If I have no intention of ever breeding the snake...is there a difference is ease of care between a male and a female. I know all snakes are different, but I wasn't sure if a male or female would be calmer when handled and such.

I've never noticed a difference specifically in the genders. Its all in the personality of an individual snake. Something to consider: sometimes males will go off feed for a month or more in spring when they are adults and sometimes females will spontaneously lay infertile eggs although they've never been bred (that's pretty rare).

I once read in a very scientific corn snake publication that boys rule and girls drool. It also mentioned that boys come from mars to eat more candy bars, while girls come from Jupiter to get more stupider. :shrugs: hope that helps.

Like they said, its in the individual not the gender.

Hunger striking males are extremely frustrating, at best, even when you know it's a natural behaviour. I'd vote female for that reason.
