Can a corn shed more than one layer of skin at a time?

Jango was in blue a few days ago, got home last night and found her shed ( complete & clean), I got to looking around their viv and I found another shed but this one was in three pieces. I do have two corns in the same viv (I know the hazards) anyway Boba just shed 2 weeks ago, So is it possible that Jango could have shed twice at one time or is it just Boba shedding again? Boba did not give us any signs.

That is one of the reasons they are best housed singularly, as you cant monitor each one aswell!

I understand, but is it even possible for a snake to shed more than one layer of skin at a time, It doesn't seem possible to me but since I am fairly new to this maybe under certain circumstances it is.

im not uber experienced by any means, but i have done vast amounts of research and have been regularly been reading threads on her now for about a year and i've certainly never heard of anything like it and IMO i would think it impossible.
If your snakes are hatchlings then its entirely possible that one has shed a couple of times within a few/several weeks

Two weeks seems kind of fast for Boba to have shed again, but it isn't possible that both are Jango's. Are you sure you removed Boba's shed? :grin01:
Now, separate those two! :D

Thanks guys for all the input, It must be Bobas' shed, I was looking at the calendar and it has been 2 weeks and three days since he shed last, they both get feed f/t pink each every fourth day, yes they both are hatchlings we've had them for about a month and a half maybe 2 months, beautiful babies. Thanks again.

If these are very young snakes and they are fed every 4th day, then it's possible that Boba just shed again, as they grow fast at this age when fed that often. Which is not a bad thing.

I also read a theory in an article (can't find it right now, will look later) that a snake will shed when it is stressed. If I remember correctly, the theory is that shedding is a snake's natural response to physical stressors. When a snake can't escape a mental stressor, the snake resorts to a tired and true solution to stress.
I'll look for that article when I get home.
