Wet Sand Issue

R.W.

Call me Richard
Well, I finally got a forty lb. bag of play sand at wal-mart for my beardie. Problem is, with all the humidity, the sand is pretty much water logged. Not sopping wet, but at this rate it will probably take several weeks for it all to completely air dry. So the question is: Would it be safe to bake it in the oven for awhile to dry it out? If so, is there any particular temp. that would be better/safer? Also, any containers that would be good to use for such a task?

Or you could just do slate tile with a digging box of sand. It's really pretty and super easy to clean and disinfect if you have to treat for worms or cocci like I am in the midst of now...
