okay, so i just started looking at some plastic bins at the local stores and it looks like i'm going to be going with sterilite brand. only one store has rubbermaid and they didn't have but one or two of any one kind. so my question is what size sterilite tub do you use for your adult corns? Sub adults? Once i figure out what size(s) of tubs I need I'm thinking about building a rack system around that. Havn't really decided if i will yet (i'm far from being the greatest at building things).

28 qt is probably the most common size used to house adults. The floor space is roughly equivalent to that of a 20 gallon aquarium, and corns don't usually use the extra headroom anyway. I use that size for anything over a year old.
 
Most racks use the 28/32 qt size, roughly 23x16. A larger size for adults which some prefer is the 41 qt sterilite 1860/1960 about 35x14.
I've currently got my adults and near adults in 32 qts but one day hope to buy or make a rack with 41 qt tubs for the larger adults.
 
I use 41 qt for adults. I started with the 27 qt but it just looked too cramped for them. So now I use that rack for yearlings/sub-adults and then move them to 41 qt when they get bigger.
 
I too, much prefer the larger bins, even with those I feel guilty having them in there! ;) lol! I hope to build a couple giant excercise pens in the next year or so though, and rotate them through. I just have to figure out design and cleaning. I'm hopine one will be about 11 feet long, 2 feet front to back and about a 1 1/2 feet tall. Perhaps sliding glass in the front. We'll see, money and time is always lacking around here ;)

ps- I think if you have few enough snakes that you can regularly handle and excercise them the smaller sweater box size is fine! ;)
