Green-Eyed Lady: Florence the Topaz

New member
She's a freshly-shed '06 topaz (lava-caramel) produced by Joe Pierce. She's possible het for amel and motley. She's really taken off since I switched her to weaneds a couple of months back. She weighed in at 152g today. The black smudge in the grass under her chin in the last shot is Vader. :grin01:

Shes my favourite caramel based corn hands down. Those eyes just dazzle!

Shes like a subltle butter without those ugly red eyes, and I love the sneeky black specks on her belly.

I'm beating Mike B to the punch on this one...

Green-eyed lady, lovely lady
Slithering slowly towards the sun
Green-eyed lady, aspen lady
Squeezing every rodent wave that comes
Green-eyed lady, passion's lady
Dressed in scales, she lives for life to be
Green-eyed lady feels life I never see
Setting suns and lonely lovers free....

&@#$%$&, Dean. Now you're making me re-think my credo of "Butter Mots are the only Xanthin-laden snakes worth keeping".

Joe Pierce and Jeff Mohr are quickly being elevated to Mythological "God" status. I need me some lava genes.

Simply gorgeous.

regards,
jazz

Thanks Elle. :D You've pretty much nailed what I love about her. I used to hate amel eyes, and even though I don't anymore, I'm still a bit biased against them. And I was thinking the same thing about her "sneeky" black specks when I took her out. I'm glad they haven't gone away.

She's my favorite caramel-morph at the moment too. We'll have to see if the golddust stripes I'm getting soon can give her a run for her money. ;)

Very awesome snake ya got there Dean! WOW. (Can't wait to see the Golddust stripes!)

Goldust stripes... oooh. At least they don't have red eyes. I can't say I'm super duper excited about knowing that morph is out there, maybe my mind will change when I see them but ultra does nothing for me. Now Topaz blood stripes is what I'm waiting on!

Thanks Dale. :) I've had that song stuck in my head since I took her out earlier. I like most caramel stuff myself. I have a gorgeous lava of Jeff Mohr's at my place right now. She and Vlad made eggs, but they went bad. We're going to try again next season, so I'm holding on to her. I've gotta get some pics up. My own lava male is pretty darned amazing himself. :)

Thanks Dave. Don't worry, you'll see those stripes about as soon as I open the box... ;)

I'm not a big ultra guy either, but I'm very excited to get the GD stripes. The topaz-blood-stripes will be a ways off. Who knows, Joe Pierce might have some hidden somewhere already! :grin01:

I didn't know snakes could have colored eyes.. I always thought they were either black or red.. But that looks awesome!

Dean, that snake ist absolutely awesome. Those eyes....
and where is the white wall in the background?

Dean...I must say that is one heck of a beautiful snake! Wow! Can't wait to produce a few of those in 08.

Dean, although I'm not typically a "yellow snake" kind of girl, Florence just SLAYS me! I LOVE her!
I love her coloring and her incredible eyes. She looks so robust and healthy.
I will never get tired of seeing piccies of this one.

Consider me a member of the Florence Fan Club!

You really have a gift for raising snakes, Dean. Florence looks so healthy and beautiful. She is absolutely stunning! I'd say she could compete with Piedsied Bloods for beauty and uniqueness. Her color is so smooth and soft. It's been a real pleasure watching her grow up. Thanks for posting so many picture updates!
