Is my corn too small for his age??

"Serpent Science"
So I just purchased my first corn snake and the store claims that he is nearly 2 years old. After doing some research, I am now worried that he's entirely too small for 2 yo. He's approximately 2' 3" and slightly thicker than my index/middle finger. He's not skinny and actually looks quite healthy. The store was feeding him one fuzzy every 7 days and he just gobbled down his first meal in his new home. Is this okay, and if not, any recommendations?

For his size, a fuzzy or small hopper sounds appropriate. I would figure a snake taking that size prey would be a year or less old. My hatchlings are taking large fuzzies now and they were hatched in late June. My yearlings are on hoppers. I do have one female that was and is smaller than normal. This girl is supposed to be the same age as my breeder females and is a full foot shorter and weighs at least 200 grams less. She's just made it over 300 grams now at over 3 years old. Some snakes are just small.

It's hard to say because as long as it is healthy it should be fine. I would however increase the food intake to two fuzzies, then hopper.... My 06' corns are eating small feeders or two hoppers. My 05' prefers rat pups which are the size of a feeder. So one fuzzy every seven days is a little sparse, but it will do fine. good luck, susan

My snake is just small. He is a year old and eating fuzzies right now, but he has been perfectly healthy and has never refused a meal

Does sound a little small for that age, and it should be past fuzzies well before 2 years so whoever owned it was underfeeding it.

If it isn't growing enough to take bigger than fuzzies then it might be some kind f internal parasite.
