My terrarium is complete now that i bought some plants and it looks great!! Except one thing--------> trees and stuff to climb on. I want to buy some vines and fake trees, but i dont know how to secure them so they wont fall down under the weight of my snake. Any help greatly appreciated.

Suction cups

If your snake is small enough
(not a Marcel Monster Corn) and you have a glass terrarium then just use suction cups. Best part is it makes tank cleaning easy.

Hallo,
The best is to find a big piece of trunk, cut away all the small branches. Corn does not climb that much anyway. the best is to find a piece which is band a bit and a bit longer then the length of your tank that you can rest it on the bottom and the banded part will point upward, since it is a bit longer then the tank, it will secure itself at both end. And the reason that to use a thick piece instead of a thin branches, it will hold the weight of the snake and as it grow bigger, it can also rest on it easly. Best of luck.

Here is a photo of my corn resting on his tree, well this picture only show 1/4 of the trunk. the whole piece is somewhat 52 inches

Corns are aboreal

Thats a cool looking rest your corn has there. Have to go get a chain saw and cut up some new furnature. But I've read that Corns are aboreal and they do climb. I set up a vine at the back of my cage and my guy is up there alot of the time. He climbs up to his purch everytime after feeding. I'd post a pic but I'm on a school computer at the moment.

corns are terrastrial (sp?)

Corns do climb in the wild but in general avoid it. They will climb up trees to get prey (baby birds ect.) or to avoid predators, but I dont think they actually enjoy climbing. Corns are in no way arboreal but I guess you could call them semi-arboreal because they are comfortable in trees. Corns also swim but they are not aquatic, they are mainly terrastrial animals.

(sorry, I know I sound rude, I must have re-written this post 5 times to try to sound more polite, but i was just trying to get a point across.)

If you use....

The log or piece of tree as mentioned by someone above is a good idea but be sure to use a bleach/water solution to kill any mites and other nasties before putting it in with the snake.
