4th generation

Mice! They taste so nice!
Here's my 4th generation breeders with the next trio! I've suddenly had black and white mice pop up, so I've kept back a female, and the littlest black/white is a keeper male, along with 2litle brown/white females in the other picture. They're weaned now and going into their own set up tonight

They are so cute! That's awesome that you had a color randomly pop up in your collection. Breed the cool morphs back to their parents and maybe you'll get something REALLY wild!

I find it hard enough to cull since I introduced coloured mice instead of just p-e-w! Luckily my local petshop is nice enough to trade some of the holdbacks for food for the mice!

I dunno, I find it easy to cull the spotted ones given that I know that the spotting genes tend to be linked to deformities if they're bred for too extensively.

And Diamondlil: Your original brown and whites are actually Agouti and white. This is genetically black with banded hairs - and the pair that popped out the black ones are obviously het for the recessive "self" gene that eliminates the banding.

Here's the 5th generation all grown up and left their moms! Patches, Pinto and Paint
