What on earth? Rat experts help pls!!!!!

Velvet

Totally corn crazy!!!!
Hi all!!!

Okay...so I breed rats as feeders right? But every now and then I find something different that I keep back. That was the story with this little girl...lol I would really like someone's help as to what on earth she is pls!

Okay..what I know about her...Dad is definitely a himi (out of a Sable point siam mom, by an agouti dad). I think the mom is the same.

Baby, now named Ayla, is the most beautiful colour, she has a lovely golden hue! She doesn't appear to be pointed yet though in some of the pics it looks like she is, I think she might still develop darker points as that is what happened with my himis...She is definitely ticked, has a beautiful cream undercoat and ruby eyes, very dark red, look black.

Her "ticks" appear to be greyish, so quite dark, not silver ticked...forgot to mention that! lol

One of the parents was an Agouti, both must have been het for red eye dilute (buff).

Looks like you've got a buff agouti. I don't know if there is a name for that specific combination.

Buff agouti would be topaz (US fawn), and that isn't a topaz by any name :)

I would guess it as a dark agouti point Siamese. The coat colour definitely looks like it'll end up properly pointed.

Do himis have red eyes? I don't know I've never had any.

The color in those pics looks exactly like my many buff colored rats, but I don't have any agoutis either.

Himmies have pink to red eyes. Siamese have red to ruby eyes. The darker the points on a Siamese, the darker the eyes tend to be.

I will ignore black eyed Siamese and Himmies for now as they're another gene :)

That is a nice topaz (buff agouti) ... not a great photo but you can see how rich the colour is compared to that baby.

Oh heck! I just realised I made a mistake! The siam female who is the mom of the two himi's was pregnant when I got her, so dad is an unknown...

Dad can only be the himi (he might be a really light siam) with black eyes. His mother was a beautiful sable point siam with ruby eyes. Father unknown (as mentioned above)

My females are:

* A Silver fawn (foundation female)
* A Champagne hoodie (out of silver fawn by agouti dad) red eyes
* A Himi (or very light siam) girl with black eyes
* A Siamese hoodie (Siamese mom x Agouti dad)

Thanks for your imput guys!!! She's different from any siams I have seen so I will definitely be keeping her as a pet! :)

Oh, I am pretty sure the siamese hoodie is the mom of the little girl in question. :)
