hi.. I`m worried about my snake, cuz it havent been eating in 3 or 4 weeks..!! is this normal?
I`m feeding him frozen mice now, to start with he dident mind eating frozen.. but now he just looks at it, and turn away!
what should i do? I`m going to buy live mice to morrow, hope he eats that...

anyways, my snake usually eats what I give him..
and now he dont.. thats why I worry
 
Thawed: Putting the frozen mouse in hot water to make it soft and not frozen.

Don't worry I am not patronizing you I understand English is probably not your primary language.

Try soaking the snake's food in chicken broth or tuna-fishy water.

Out of curiosity, what is your native language, there may be somebody here who could more easily communicate suggestions to you.

Ì`m from norway, and of course the mouse was not frozen..
The snake is now two years old (somebody asked).
I know my way around snakes enough to know that the mice is not supposed to be frozen. Djeees

and just for the record, I understand perfectly fine what you`re telling me..
The reason for the bad language is because I dont bother being 100% right, as this is not a school test:p sorry about that, as my english is obviously to hard to understand, I`ll use an extra minute in the future to explain myself:)

If nothing like temperature or viv environment has changed, and the snake shows no interest in feeding, I'd personally be reluctant to try live unless you are prepared that the snake might not be easy to change back to frozen/thawed. I've found that making sure the mouse is really hot by putting it under a reading lamp after it's thawed, then wriggling it with tongs works well to induce strike feeding in most of my snakes.
2 of mine are only eating live, stunned mice at the moment and I'm working on converting them to f/t
 
At this time of year, I get a couple of snakes that refuse to eat for awhile. I think that even if we do our best to maintain the proper temps and lighting, some snakes just can't be fooled and they know that it's the time of year for them to find a place to curl up in for the winter. Offering something irresistible (live, rat, whatever) will usually work to get them eating again. And I've really never had a problem getting an older snake switched back to F/T mice afterwards. You can even try putting your snake into a short brumation period. Many a problem feeder has been brumated to get them eating again when they come out. It actually works in many cases.
