Fish for corn's?

Hi, I am thinking about getting a corn snake, I haven't got one yet, but I looked around and found a few good ones that my parents agreed to get me after a while, but I have also noticed that there is rarely mice for sale, and if there is, there are about 40$ (100-300 Q.R.) but there are alot of fish for about 2$ each, with the same size as pinks, I was going to try chicken necks and legs, but I have been told that they don't contain every thing that a corn snake needs, so I went to the only way that I can offord, fish. :shrugs:

Mice aren't $40, I KNOW that! I am pretty sure you're exaggerating... I would say no to the fish, they don't have the nutrients, fat and calcium a corn snake needs and in the wild corns don't eat fish (correct me if I'm wrong, though)
where are you located, as in state? You can find frozen mice in most pet stores, or live ones.

I live in Qatar, mice are expensive around here, and they only sell live mice, if fish is a big no-no, then do snakes feed on any thing else? I heard chicks, and I might go for it but those are a little more expensive then fish, and I heard they aren' healthy, is that true?

If you can't afford mice you sure can't afford a decent viv, electric bills or vet costs. Wait untill you are better equipted financially.

I don't think so, and my mom would only let me get those cute little corns because most of my family members are terrified of them :spinner:

Adult corns grow to 4-5 feet. They don't stay cute little babies forever. You do need to have access to money to properly care for the snake. As said before: vet bills, vivarium, food, substrate, hides, uth, rheostat. You may not be ready to have one yet and give it proper care. Please wait until you can spend the money to care for it, no matter how badly you want one.
My newest corn was discovered to have mites. I had an unexpected expense to buy treatments. The unexpected does happen. What if your snake gets sick and has to go to the vet? Can you pay for a vet visit?
Not trying to lecture, just want you to be realistic and objective. :)

I was wondering if you are native to Qatar or are your parents stationed there working in a military base? If mice are $40 each, you are better off buying a pair and breeding them. I found a website linked from the Qatar embassy that stated that their are 4 native species of rodents in Qatar. I would look into those as feeders ((lesser jerboa, house rat, Baluchistan gerbil and Cheesman’s gerbil). I have no idea on the size of these rodents. But, since they are native I'm sure they are a hell of a lot cheaper.

oh, I assume most vets their don't speak english and if you don't speak Arabic I would buy a lot of books related to cornsnake care. I'm assuming that most vets their specialize in livestock and don't have much knowledge about reptiles. I say do some research as their might be a professor at a local univerity or someone in a government position who studies native reptiles. Then again, I'm assuming Qatar actually has an Enviromental/Wildlife agency.

I have access to money, I have done my research and this is the last thing I need to know, but my dad won't let me spend 40$ each 4-5 days, and since I am getting 2 snakes, It will be 80-100$ each 4-5, one of my dad's friends is a vet, so the vet isn't a problem, as for every thing else, I have found all the proper needs for a corn snake, I am pretty sure I am ready to get one, I am asking for a cheaper food source, if I can't get one I'll have to go to mice.

I speak both Arabic and English, I have done that research, no use, but I found that my dad's friend is a vet who live a few streets away, he knows about snakes and how to deal with them.
