Yes everyone..... Today my corn will feed for the third time!!!! (and she hasn't bit me once) But.. today im going to try the zombie dance maybe try to get her to strike lol but don't fear i wont not feed her if she doesn't strike lmao and i thought i'd quickly say thanks to everyone that answered my questions plus can a snake rip it's scale ? and how do i know if it's ripped one? Thanks !!
You'll be able to see any damaged scales. If you suspect it, the causes could be bad shed, or scratching on something sharp in the viv.
Congrats on your snake. Electra didnt used to strike, so I wiggled the mouse (not too close to her, she seemed scared of it then!) and then let it rest a moment. When she brought her head up to investigate it I moved it away and repeated the process. This got her striking.
The only time Rosa has ever struck was when she was on double pinkies, she wondered off after eating the first one, I made the mistake of picking the second up and nudging her side with it, that was one way to get her to strike, and also a great way for me to need a quick change of underwear!
