ZooMed I've seen before and is very common, the one you originally posted I haven't. By chance do you know who the manufacturer of it is?
 
No... it just says: "Placa Térmica" tha in english means: Thermal Plaque... so that's why I didn't know if it was a UTH
 
Actually the Zoomed one I have never seen. (Except in pics on here, i see it alot) In the UK they aren't sold. Our common brands are habistat and ultratherm - and they look much more like that top picture. They also sell as heat mats and I'd nevre heard them called UTHs until I came on here lol

So I'm sure its just fine to use.
 
Im in the UK and i use a Zoo-Med UTH. I'll get a photo of it when i go downstairs. :)
