Sub Adults and Adults

my sub adults get usually a hopper or small mouse.... my adults usually get a weaned rat. my sub adults get fed every 5-6 days and my adults get fed every 7 days.

IMHO? yes... my hatchlings are fed every 4-5 days til they are on double pinks... then its about every 5 days til they are on medium pinks.

no necessarily... would take longer to grow out of the 'fragile' baby size is all. imho again, 7 days for hatchlings is more a maintenance diet than optimum growth diet is all :)

Well I want my snake to grow perfectly so I'll feed him correctly =D

YAY! Good for you!!! :) :dancer:

In the past (before I knew better) I fed Cornflake, my first snake every 7 days when he was hatchling and though he grew slower than any of my others, it certainly didn't do him any harm and he is a big boy now, ironically quite big for his age! lol

But still, it is much better to feed them every 4-5days as recommended.

I fed every 7 - 10 days when I got my first corn, an 06, he is still sorta small compared to the 07s that Ihave been feeding the 2 pinks every 4-5 days. I really think I am falling for the "Munson" plan

^^^
It's not like we're power feeding them.

The same could aslo be said for your signature that's over the limit. :laugh01:

I've actually done both for hatchlings, and my snakes were fine and grew either way. Every 5 days and every 7 days. Of course on the every 5 days schedule they grow faster, but I don't think feeding every 7 days is starving your snake or stunting its growth.
However I do feel that feeding hatchlings every 4 days is too often.

Since the OP is asking about a subadult and not a hatchling, there is no way I would feed a snake that big every 5 days. Every 7 at most and maybe even less depending on its condition.

My adults, eat every 15-20 days.. a Jumbo mouse, and they maintain weight all year round, even slightly gain, never loose, and a couple months before breeding (if im breeding) I will bump them up to 10 days on a jumbo.. I never feed any adult snake more frequently then 10 days.. my boas go 30 days each after a colosal rat.. and they maintain or gain weight slowly..
