Another of my dumb questions (I'm sorry =S)

is usually a dark brown and is in a little pile (like a cow poop) as it comes out more liquidy. It will also have little pile of white substance next to it which turns into a powder as it dries.

The "poop" itself is dark brown/black and is expelled with a whitish liquid, the urine, or urates as I think it's called. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And sorry , I've never had the desire to photograph my snakes' poo.

lol yeah that's what I thought hehe, so it's just like bird poo!, today I saw like mat made for snakes used like sustrate.... is better to use normal substrate than those mats? cleaning poo is difficult in both things right?

Well it's like a line of poop if you use aspen substrate.

It gets stuck to the chips and makes a clump that you can take out easily.

I think it's just a matter of personal preference. By a mat, I am assuming you mean reptile carpet? In my opinion they seem like more of a nuisance than anything because it would be more difficult to clean. When using substrate such as aspen shavings, you can simply remove the soiled clump and pitch it. I wouldn't even want to mess with trying to clean carpet, though I'm sure many people do. The carpet also isn't as aesthetically pleasing.....at least to me.

Firstly, no question is a dumb question, only dumb people don't ask questions. :spinner:
Secondly, I use newspaper as substrate, when my snakes poop I just take out the newspaper throw it away and replace it with clean newspaper. :shrugs:

Ciao

Reptile carpet is sort of hard to clean. If you have to use it, you need two pieces so you can take out the dirty one and wash and dry it and put in the clean one. They burrow under it, too. (Makes pretty cool tunnels). Aspen is very easy, you just pick out the dirty/wet part and fluff up the rest, and add more when needed. I've used both and would never go back to reptile carpet.

Hi There
I use complete sheets of newspaper. It doesn't look very pretty but my snakes are not there for display purposes.

Ciao

You want pictures? :bang: I think you'll find out soon enough.

The poo changes as your change your snake's meal size.
