So my kids have under the tank heaters; one appropriately sized on each tank. But since we're poor college kids; we don't use the heater in the house so it's fairly cold in the house at all times and the UTH is not cutting in.
I'm hearing that getting a heat lamp of some sort is a good option, but I need one that won't disrupt their daylight/nightlight situation. I've seen ceramic bulbs and those red-glow heat bulbs which are half as expensive as the ceramic. I'd rather the cheaper ones, but if they insufficient, then ceramic it is. What is everyone's opinion/experiences with heat sources?
THanks!
