A small breakthrough... :)

Short and Sweet
So I came home to my parents house for Christmas yesterday...
and I was told under NO certain circumstances was I allowed to bring my snakes into my parents house.

So naturally I packed them up and brought them along :D

Anyway, the boyfriend and I brought them in, and my dad of course said to my mother...

"There seem to be several large empty plastic containers coming in." (The snakes were all hiding under the newspaper.

Oh boy. I thought I was in for it. My mother claims she can't even stand the sight of a snake.
So I gave her my best, I'm cute and I'm your only child, and you love me with all your heart smile.

And thankfully she kind of laughed and shook her head, knowing she couldn't win. (Which I've been trying to explain to her my entire life. I was that kid that brought home everything... turtles, chipmunks, worms... etc. Its been tough training my mom!) Complained a bit about how I don't listen to her, and how when I went to Vegas for a week she wasn't going to have anything to do with them.

So yay! A small breakthrough! Maybe next I can get her to LOOK at one

She'll look at one...just not when you're around to catch her looking! Just put your prettiest and most docile one in the most convenient location for the "quick look".

Thats a good idea! I thought about having Stori in my lap one morning while on my computer when she came down... but that might be pushing it a bit...

Thanks guys! I'm excited!
