This is what happens in South Texas during the "winter". I went herping in my snake/mouse room yesterday. This is what I found. A little female Southwestern Rat, that had munched about 4 or so fuzzies and could not get back out of the 1/4" hardware cloth.

What a little cutie! What is it with Texas snakes- this is about the third one I've read of here that volunteered to be a pet.

See, little Ratty, that's what happens when we don't think ahead.

Keeping her, Mike?

Probably not, Ill wait till it warms up a little and let her go outside. I have no need for these guys. She would just take up rack space.

Maybe Ill give her to a MBK for a late Christmas present.

He forgot to read the manual that says "No more than 1 1/2 times the width of the body" LOL!

HaHaHa how cute! So what did you do? I bet you kept her..LOL

A guy called me asking what kinda snakes I had for sale, I told him that he could have her, so I gave her to him. I dont have the space to keep stuff like this.
