Just been to my local reptile store...

Mr.AJ

Educated Horse.
...and they had the most beautiful sub-adult snow corn in. I would of bought her if i could afford to! But alas, had to leave her there.... hopefully she'll still be around in a few weeks they very rarely actually manage to sell the snakes there!.

In their 'adult' tank they had an adult ball python, Trinket snake, 'common rat snake', brown house snake and a large corn.

They also had a Rough green snake and 2 bearded dragons co-habbed. :uhoh::uhoh:

Im not an expert... but even i think that sounds like trouble!.

Wish I had a store with that many snake choices in my area..of course it would be good for them to be more knowledgeable as well

If they had all those different species in one 'adult' tank, I couldn't buy from a place that kept their animals like that.

Man...I didn't even notice that it was implied that all those snakes were in one tank..That truely is lack of knowledge and common sense on their behalf..

Man you have to do something about that! Talk to them about it and if they refuse to listen, get the RSPCA down there to investigate.

Because one way or another, one or more of those creatures is going to wind up dead. Is that your only local store?

Only local store, If you ignore the one whos 'recommended' bedding gave my snake mites.

The thing is, the ball python, brown house snake and trinket snake were all housed together when i first bought my snake - and are still all there now. But all 3 are around about the same part of the tank and dont seem to move from their respective corners
(the tank is a good 6-7ft long and 4-5ft wide.)

But yeah, evertytime we go in there i mention the co-habbing to my girlfriend... even she's mentioned parts of that shop being a bit 'dodgey'. Hell they have rabbits in small tanks in there with no water supply (They have a water bottle, but its always on the floor.)

Yeah mate it sounds dodgy, seriously, get the RSPCA down there. There are loads of great internet sites that you can get practically everything you'll ever need for your snake. www.livefoods.co.uk is a good example, check it out. They have pretty prompt delivery too, so if you order on the Monday it's usually there by Wednesday/Thursday (if you order frozen mice it's quicker obviously).

Just politely tell them that you shouldn't house snakes together like that. And tell them about the water bottle too, if not please call the RSPCA.
