Amazon hookup...DUW...

MegF.

That's for sale???
Evidently it takes more than Barry White music, wine and candles to get these guys in the mood. After putting them together and seperating them on and off over a month's period, I decided to wait a bit. The female appeared to be ready to shed and I was right. She just wanted to look good for her man! After placing her old stockings in his cage, spritzing with Eau du rainwater, I introduced them once again. They checked each other out but no observed action. Then, this morning when I went to check on them, there they were! Suweet!

Meg, that's wonderful! I can't wait to hopefully see some amazon babies from this pair.

I have been getting very interested in amazons. I am considering getting one this year. :)

I'm pretty excited. The babies I have now were produced from an already gravid female that I purchased. This will be my first beginning to end breeding. I think it will be an awesome pairing and hopefully, all the babies will look like mom and dad.

Whoo hoo! :dancer:

They really make a point to curl around eachother, don't they? Very cuddly.

Congratulations! Why do you have a loaner? Did Mike want to breed to your male? Or just not want to breed his female himself? She's really pretty. Is there a name for her color?

Mike has a bunch of pairings going already and since the female is very close in coloration to my male, we decided we wanted to see how the genetics would hold out. Little is known about the genetics of amazons and most litters are very mixed. Since these two animals are almost identical in color, it will be interesting to see if they produce more like them. I don't think there is a name for her color...uh, pretty orange and gold??? :)
