Jenni, those are actually very old pics of him- maybe a year old? Now he's eating 14-17 gram small mice and he weighs 225g I _think_.
My Eastern who is very unhappy now due to having her abcess treated for four months closed-mouth strikes all the time. She won't bite, but she pecks like a chicken! Zee does a lot of probing/burrowing with his pointy nose, which can feel like a bite; however the times he actually bit me (feeding response) he just opened up and started chewing!

as ewwww as those pics are, it hasnt put me off them! Can certain people have more of a reaction than others such as a spider bite or bee sting?
