I need to get out more.

On a slightly better note, Chompy devoured his first "Fuzzie" today. Of course, it wasn't a real fuzzie, Because i got it from my local reptile store and they dont do real fuzzies - If you wask for a fuzzie you get a large pinky with 3 hairs on it.

Still, quite a bit meal for him and he looked quite pleased with himself afterwards! He even threw coils around it when he was trying to push it down. Still not too sure whether it was too big for him or not he has quite the bulge now. But he got it down... hopefully it stays down - Looked alot bigger once it was next to him! Next to the two pinkys that he was having it didnt look like such a leap.

Looking pleased for himself:

If the bump is still fairly visible after 4days ill take him back down to 2pinkys for a while. :)

As long as the "Fuzzy" wasn't bigger than 1 & 1/2 times the size of Chompys widest part then I think he should be ok.

Another thing you might want to try is slitting the back of the prey item 3 or 4 times, as this allows the digestive juices to get to work quicker on the food item. I do this with pinkies and fuzzies when I first go up in size, as I read a post by Nanci saying how this helps them digest better.

Maybe something to think about........

Best wishes,
