I'm Back! + Baby Ball Python Tub Sizes?

R.W.

Call me Richard
I've been away for awhile, though it's probably too much to hope for that someone actually missed me.:punch:

I have a question though. I'm building/ buying some racks for baby ball pythons and was wondering how long you think a baby could stay in a tub that is 12 1/2" long, 6 3/4" wide, and 3 3/4" tall?

P.S. I'm really excited. We've started "converting" one of our spare rooms into a "high tech" breeding lab so things are coming along.

P.S.S. Happy New Year!

Thanks guys, I really feel the love. I've been back a whole 30 minutes and no ones taken time to say hi. People these days! lol:smash:

To be fair, According to the 'views' forum only me and you have looked at this thread so far. ;)

Welcome back. Can't answer your BP questions though.

You could probably get to around 400+ grams before you would have to move them to something bigger.

Depends really on the animal and how comfortable they are with larger/smaller spaces though, but I generally move them around 400 grams to a 15qt tub.

Thanks! On average, with a regular feeding schedule, about how long does it normally take for them to get to that size?

On a regular schedule and actually having them eat, I would say from 6 months to a year even...

Just shows how quick people on this forum reply - lol 30 min felt like like 2 long.

Sorry I cant help with the Ball question, but im interested in where this thread goes cause I been thinking about getting one.

Congrats on your "high tech" breeding lab.
what makes it high tech? It would be cool if you could post pics of the progress. Can't speak 4 everyone, but I'd like to see it:)

Good luck with your pythons:)
