2007 stock is getting kind of slim pickins'

Stock on the remaining 2007 animals is getting petty low. These are all well started by now, and prices are still the same as when they were brand new hatchlings. This is the first year (maybe the last!) that I have taken pics of all the available hatchlings in a year, so take advantage of this situation to see exactly the animal you want.

I probably need to just clean out all the sections of sold out animals to make it easier to read and figure out just what is still available...... :shrugs:

Thanks everyone.

Ya, the pictures did not influence my purchase at all Rich.. In fact the pictures actually insured me making a purchase! Appreicated from my stand point, but it is a lot of work for you..

I appreciate the hard work that had to go into it. Being away for most of the year is the only thing that kept me from a purchase. I don't like buying things sight unseen, even from a knowledgeable source. I've got the numbers written down of the couple I like... just trying to figure out where I would put them :)

Not trying to play the high pressure salesman, but just today a couple of orders came in that further reduced the stock available. Which is real good, since I am probably going to need some bucks to fight that DDoS attack on FaunaClassifieds.

Thanks....

I actually appreciated the pics.

Maybe in the future only do pics of the higher end morphs ??

This would cut down a ton

Gotta hate those idiots that think those DDos attacks are cool

Seems like DDoS attacks can really drag you down... I have my eyes on few lavender het bloods.

I find that the pictures do help, as anyone can go find their very best corn and use that as a picture.

Recently I trimmed out all the cultivars that are sold out to make it easier to figure out what is left in inventory.

The adults are breeding up a storm right now, so it looks like babies will be coming around a little bit early this year.

Just a note to let everyone know that I have jury duty this upcoming week, so I'm not scheduling any shipments.

I'm going to be the "hanging juror" :dgrin:

Rich,

I really liked the pictures of the individual hatchlings. Neat idea, and nice for people to be able to see the exact baby they're buying. But man, that must've been a lot of work....and to be honest, I kinda liked it better when you had posted pictures of adults.

Maybe for the next round, you could have one adult photo and a couple pics of hatchlings just as examples? Just a thought. :)

As other people have said, I'm sure the work for the individual pictures is huge pain for you. Still, I personally really appreciate them- especially for the highly variable morphs such as the lavenders, bloods, motleys, phantoms, etc. Were I free from parental grip, I probably would have purchased one of the hypo bloods because of the individual picture of it showing its truly awesome diffusion. People also have different tastes, so being able to choose whether you get that nice banded motley or the pinstripe, or maybe even a hurricane is also a pleasant luxury that you can't get without the individual pics.

That said, there are a lot of morphs that don't vary nearly as much as hatchlings, such as the amels and the stripe morphs. For these I would think that one of the adult photos and a clutch photo are all that's really necessary to show what a majority of them look like. :shrugs:

If you do decide to do the pictures again next year, maybe there's a middle ground- only take individual pictures of the variable morphs and leave out the ones that are pretty consistent and/or sell quickly enough by themselves. I'm sure that would save a lot of time and accomplish the main objective of the pictures at the same time.

As a final note of thanks for the pictures this year, I was allowed to purchase Freyja (your straggler normal) from you because my parents were able to see a picture of the snake, which is always a big plus. ;)

Best of luck with your breedings and sales this year!

Well I do know this. Taking individual pics of the babies cannot happen until the numbers drop down low enough where it is feasible to do. Even then, it was a headache trying to keep track of which ones were being sold that already had photos taken of them so I didn't list them as being available.

Plus it doesn't help that my shopping cart program is having difficulty handling what I am asking it to do. I really need to get another shopping cart program, but have no idea where I will ever find the time to do that.

Heck, it's almost April already and I really should be thinking about my 2008 pricelist. Got the first couple of females about to drop eggs already....

Honestly every year I dread more and more the workload facing me when all those babies are hatching out. I've tried cutting back by selling off adults, but I turn around twice and there are STILL just as many adults that I had before.

Doesn't help that I just do stupid things, either. I have a bunch of animals that I don't have mates for. For instance, I let go all of my adults that were her for Sunkissed and Charcoal thinking I had that covered because I had a group that was het for Sunkissed, Charcoal AND Hypo. Well, it would have been nice if I had a couple of MALES in that batch...... :headbang:

LOL Males do tend to be helpful occassionally :) Did you ever find that Charcoal Motley in the back? :D

Actually I have. And I can't think of anything I really want to breed him to.... I probably have a female match for him somewhere around here, but just haven't found her yet......... :shrugs: Oh yeah, he's also het for Amel.

Not really interested in starting up a new project with him as the star....
