won't eat

My snake hasn't eaten in four weeks. We used to feed him once a week. First we thought it was because he was shedding but now he is done and still won't eat.does anybody have any idea why this might be happening?(live feeder btw)

Well are you sure he's a he?
It's getting to be that time of year where male snakes would start waking themselves up to find a lady friend.

Also, have you tried other prey methods and ways of offerring?

no, i'm not sure he's a he, but my little brother claims he saw the "guy part" once so we kinda went off of that. but it would make sence if he was a guy cuz he's been really active lately and gets spooked easily.

it's approximately five years old. it hasn't eaten for way too long for me to be comfortable with it. i'll put the mouse in and he just ignores it.

4 weeks of no eating with a 5 year old snake is no reason to be too worried yet.

You should do a search on here and see how long little hatchlings can last without eating and without loosing any condition
