I just fed Myan my 16 in Aztec corn...and he ate the pinkie within seconds and i mean into the middle of its body seconds...then he looked around for more..should I give him another pinkie?

yeah the snow corn i am getting on friday GOBBLED his fuzzy yesterday! and i mean, swallowed it without even really having to "contract" it into his mouth. in SECONDS. and when he was done you couldn't even see the lump in his belly. well, i tried to take him out of his feeding tub, and i got a strike, AND a tail rattle! which alarmed me, because this was my first experience with tail rattling. his tail vibrated his feeding tub! so i gave him a little while to calm down, and put on a glove and gently lifted him into his viv. he took a loooooong drink on the way out of my hand (AWWWW so cute) and then continued to voraciously hunt for another moose!

Easy solution

Step 1) Buy a scale that measures in grams
Step 2) Weigh your snake
Step 3) Go to Roy and Jzal8's Serpent Lounge
Step 4) Find the Munson Plan, it's a sticky.
Step 5) Follow the above plan.

Easy as pie!

Easier yet, if there is no discernible lump after 24 hours of feeding him, then you can either move up to the next size or double up. I am about to start feeding Flash two 1 day old pinkies because he digests a 1 day old pinkie in less than 24 hours (and I still have almost an entire bag of 1 day old pinkies left). Also, Flash is 5 months old, so that may help. If you are feeding him 1 day old pinkies then chances are good that you should start feeding him two of those since he is a month older than my snake.

Thanks to all for your ideas and posts. Ya they are one day pinkies and it looks like the lump in the belly is gone. So later today I am gonna feed him another.

In the future you can give him two at the same time. ;) I've got one more feeding in which I'm going to feed Flash just one pinkie but after that I'm moving to two 1 day old pinkies every 5 days. I just got my snake two weeks ago so I wanted to make sure he was going to feed well before moving to two pinkies. Sounds like yours is ready for two pinkies also. :)
