Feeding while in blue

I was just wondreing if I should hold off on feeding Simon.Feeding day is Monday and right now he is very deep in blue.I have heard that snakes can have difficulty shedding around the 'bulge', has anyone experienced this?He is 24g (to my surprise)and will be going on double pinkies as soon as shedding is over!!:bang:

Some snakes won't eat while in blue, but most of mine do. He'll be able to shed around his meal.

well i feed in blue if it happens to fall on a day that he is in blue (hope that made sense:confused:) but as far as shedding goes he never had any problems getting a complete shed.... i would say that if he takes it while in blue theres probably nothing to worry about.

it all depends on the snake if he wants it he will eat it.... but if not don't force it. if he does take it and has a bad shed then i would do anymore.

Well if he's ready to be on double pinks 1 pink shouldn't leave so much of a bulge that he has issues pushing the shed over it.
But yeah it really does depend on the snake, so far both of my corns that I've fed in blue have eatting voraciously and been no worse for wear. But if you're worried about having to toss out the pink if he does actually refuse you can just wait, it won't hurt him.

Well I usually leave my w/c garter alone until he's done shedding, but I had noticed that some people had been feeding regardless.I think I'll let him have a sniff and if he goes for it then it's his!:)

Good point, he doesn't have that large a bulge on just one and I could always give him the smallest pinkie in the bunch. If he refuses then it's no big loss!lol just another pinky!;)
