Humboldt State University Herp Day!

Reptilian Goddess
I just got back from an amazing day at the HSU Herp Day! I brought two of my corns: Kitty and Kiowa. And so many many people brought reptiles like blue tounged skinks and prehensile-tailed skinks and geckos, beardies, kingsnakes, and more corns! It was so much fun! I've never really done any education outreach but this is what I really want to do with my life so it was great!

All these kids were scared and after petting Kiowa and tentatively holding him they were hooked! I had more than a few kids who kept coming back to hold my kids. :dancer:

I talked to so many parents about the proper set up for snakes and the care of them. So many parents thought adding a snake to the family was a wonderful idea and I encouraged them to come to this forum for information. I think this was the best experience I've had with herps so far.

I might be able to post pictures later! Just wanted to tell you all how amazing it really was.:crazy02:

Awesome, Sounds like fun and how great that you were able to help educate not only the students but their parents too!
