Snakes in designer genes
Just playing with macro tonight, and here's a few pictures of my acromyrmex octospinosus. Scary teeth! Not the greatest photos, but they're so fast moving, not the easiest to photograph at this magnification ... but I must admit I didn't realise they had hair until I looked at the photos.

You think those two are creepy on their own, I've got a good few thousand more where they came from :smash:
 
I am pleased to report that the colony seems to be settled - they haven't moved their garden into the new container yet, but they're taking loads of food and digging non-stop!
