I'm in a dilemma; i'm getting a new snake as a late graduation gift yet -

Taxidermy

everything under the sun.
I don't know what I should go for. This past saturday, we moved the boa, python and two smallest corns into my walk in closet to keep in the heat; so now i was told i have room for another snake.

Here's what i'm stuck on. I don't know if I should go for a lizard ... preferably a giant day gecko, or another boa ... which would either be a surinam red tail or dumerial ground boa.

Yet again, pastel ball pythons are quite attractive - ): Which would you find yourself going for? I feel like I should expand in my reptile taste but i'm comfortable with snakes in general.

Day geckos are amazing animals, real lookers :) Although their not great for handling becuase of their fragile skin.

If i was you i'd go with the Dumerils, but thats just because I want one soo bad, that species is at the top of my wish list :) A good looking Pastel would be cool too though, if you have the cash :)

Yeah, I actually heard about that ... well read about it :). Of course, i'm one of those people that are perfectly content to just look and enjoy the animal behind the glass. I think day geckos are beautiful animals.

I've wanted a dumeril for a very long time as well. I actually wanted to get one before I got my columbian red tail. Perhaps I will go with the dumeril ... or the surinam.

Thanks for you opinion :) - now, you should go for the dumeril :)!

I would love too! Not in that position at the mo though :( I'm going travelling in july, and don't know when im coming back, but when i do, boy o boy am i gonna be buying some snakes :dancer:

I've had to cope with only having 1 snake and a serious reptile addiction for three years! cos of the planned travelling, but I'm off to Madagascar for part of the trip and have plans to work with Dumerils in the wild which is gonna be sweet :crazy02:
