I got my first "normal" at the reptile expo today (for only $15). Female, 14 grams, she was labeled as a Hendry County corn (sound familiar to anyone?)... and is very much colored like a miami (did find Hendry close to Maimi-Dade). Her belly is perfectly black and white checkered without any run in of other color. She's VERY skittish and spent the first couple of hours home tunneled DEEP under the aspen. She's just now starting to come out and explore. This one will definitely take some time to hand tame. The guy who had her didn't know anything. Any guess as to how old she might be at that size? She'll be settling in over the next few days.

Hopefully I'll be able to find a friend to loan me a camera this week so I can get some pics to share!

Welcome to the joys of owning cornsnakes :) I have to warn you that this place is very, very, very bad for the checking account. I was happy with just one cornsnake until I stumbled in here and now, I'm about to receive my sixth one... and I'm on waiting lists for four or five more...sigh.... I'm going to need a bigger place.....
