Irrational number = A corn that is so strange the it can't be expressed a fraction of a corn.

Imaginary numbers = You wish you had that many corns, but you don't. (Yes, I know what an imaginary number is in terms of math, but I'm descibing the literal version.)

Exponents = A lot of corns

Square roots = You say you have more corns then you actually do, (ie. 81 square rooted corns mean you want to say you have 81 corns, but you only have 9)
