I'm new here. I've been lurking a while but only just signed up for an account. This weekend we might be getting a corn snake for my 10 yr old. We already have a BP, and want to be sure the BP remains safe from anything we might possibly introduce.
We WILL be quarantining, the only question is how long. I know general quarantine procedures, and it won't be hard since the corn is going to live in my daughter's bedroom, so it won't be very close to the BP. I think the only thing we need that we don't already have is another pair of feeding tongs.
My real question is how long do we need to wait before something like a photo with both of them in it would be ok? How long are corns usually quarantined? I know people quarantine BPs for up to 6 months, but I think that is because of the way IBD doesn't always show up immediately. Corns can't carry IBD can they?
