Lemon Amber?

Ruderacer

So Cal Snake Addict
We were at our local reptile shop today picking up supplies and we saw a Lemon Amber baby. Has anyone heard of or seen one before? Would love to see a picture of one as an adult.

Never heard of a lemon amber before. Unless it's a hybrid of some sort. Any takers?

I'm thinking about heading back there and getting it. Wife says we have enough. I say "FOOOEY!!!" no such thing as enough.

It could just be a misnomer too, which is quite common. One of my local pet shops was selling a "buttery" corn not too long ago. It was obviously a butter. I gently corrected them. LOL.

You're right...there's no such thing as enough....that is, at least until you finally have too many animals to take care of without hiring a staff of professionals to help you out. LOL. With two dogs, two cats, two corns, two bearded dragons, three crowntail betas, and two 55 gallon tanks filled with all kinds of crazy south american cichlids, I'm almost to that point. haha.

I agree, no such thing as enough. If you do happen to get it, and you can, post a few pics. for us to see !!

Walter,
:crazy02: BOUT' CORNS !!

Perhaps this amber comes with a twist of lemon? Like a martini?

Mmmmm....

Anyhow, maybe it's more yellow? My suggestion would be to just march back there, and ask what the heck they are talking about. If they bred it, then ask what the parents were. Also, is this just a local pet shop joint? Or was it at Petco or something?

It might be an amber creamsickle, butter cream, a caramel cream or even a golddust. From a pet shop, anybodies guess could be right.

Here is a pic of the Lemon Amber from the reptile shop's website. The pic doesn't do it justice...

Ha, you're right. Why do these morphs have such tasty names?

I don't know. I think the fact that we see food almost 24/7 has something to do with it. We hear a name with food in it and we are able to visualize it instantly, where other times we have to think a bit to figure out what the name means.

A lot of corns have food names. Even Bloods could be considered a food name, if you're a vampire :angry01:.
:laugh01:
